Math- This week students will practice the counting on to subtract strategy. Lesson 3 quiz will be Friday, September 4th.

Reading-Students will practice reading words the fast way as well as sounding out words.  We are working on finger tapping and following along while others are reading.  Please have your child finger tap when reading at home. Students will continue reading stories from their Reader as well as answering questions about the stories.  

Domain- Students begin a science lesson learning about the human body systems. Students will learn about bones, muscles, and the respiratory system this week. Please review the vocabulary words on the parent guide nightly to help prepare your students for the end of unit test Tuesday, September 15th. 

Writing- This week in Writing we will continue our “Secret Student of the Day” writing. Each day we will write about a different “secret” student.

Spelling- Students will receive a Spelling List with the following words: man, fan, ran, him, hit, we, the, this, that, them.  The spelling test will be on Friday, September 4th.
