Week of December 8th-December 12th

Math: Students will begin to look at 3D shapes and describe their attributes. Lesson 29 and 31 math test will be on Friday, December 12th.

Domain: Students will continue learning about Exploring Light and Sound. They will learn about light and materials, solving problems with light and sound, and science in action. Assessment will be on Monday, December 15th.

Writing: Students will continue to write personal narratives that include sequenced events, temporal transition words, and a closure.

Our assessment day for Personal Narratives will be on Wednesday, January 28th.

Letterland: Unit 17:Students will learn Magic e words with Mr.I and Mr.O They learn that Magic ing can take place of Magic e. No Spelling Test this week.

Reading: Skills Unit 4: We will learn the r-controlled vowel sound /or/. Students will be introduced to two-syllable words as well as read stories from our reader, “The Green Fern Zoo.”

Reminders

-Parent Volunteers- MUST have a background check on file and pay the $10 fee

-Please have your student ready to exit the car when you pull up to the unloading area each morning. This will help keep the line moving.

- Please have a re-fillable water bottle for your child each day. I can label it if needed.

- Check your child's black homework/communication folder daily. This will have their homework in it each night.
