Math: Students will understand that a ten is made up of ten ones. Test will be Friday, February 27th.
Domain: Students will continue listening to stories about A New Nation: American Independence. They will learn about the legend of Betsy Ross, George Washington, Commander in Chief, and how our young nation is born. Test will be Tuesday, March 10th.
Writing: We will continue our unit on Conjunctions - a word used to connect two sentences or phrases together. Students will then begin our Informative Writing unit. Through this unit, students will build a solid understanding of how to write to provide information about a specific topic.
Letterland: his week students will learn about the long /i/ and long /o/ spelling for ild, ind, and old. The Unit 24 spelling test will be on Friday, February 27th.
Reading: We will continue Skills Unit 5. This week we will review alternative spellings for /t/ (t, tt, and ed), /d/ (d, dd, and ed), /f/ (f and ff), and /v/ (v and ve). Students will continue to read stories from their reader, “Kate.”. We will have a level G R.C.P. Assessment on Friday, February 27th.
