Dress Down Days

Students may wear a college t-shirt or colored awareness shirt with their regular uniform pants/skirts/shorts or jeans. Jeans may not have holes, rips, or tears (regardless of patches or leggings underneath). Uniform shoes must be worn. Students will be required to change if their jeans or shoes are not in compliance with dress down day requirements.  

What Are We Learning? 

• Math - Unit 5: Students will learn about Converting Measurement Units, Time and Money, Perimeter and Area, Line Plots, Understand Angles, Measure and Draw Angles, Add and Subtract with Angles. 

• Reading - Unit 8 -- Treasure Island chronicles the adventures of the young narrator, Jim Hawkins, who discovers a treasure map when an old pirate stays at his family’s inn. After joining forces with a doctor and a squire, Jim travels in search of treasure on a distant island. The novel vividly portrays a host of 3 Introduction Treasure Island challenges, including encounters with dangerous pirates and a mutiny on the ship. Jim uses his wits to outsmart the pirates in this tale of greed, adventure, duplicity, and bravery. 

• Science - 

• Writing - Students will learn how to identify parts of speech in text and using descriptive language to describe objects.
