About Me!

This is my 13th year teaching art at PCA. I have taught art in all grades, Kindergarten through twelve, but am now  teaching middle and high school. I have a BS in Accounting(double major in business)  and I added third major in art a few years later.  I have been creating art all of my life, as far back as I can remember.  My hobbies include rockhounding, cooking, and music. 

I am originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. My entire family, with the exception of my boys, still lives in Canada.  I moved to NC in 1999 and have lived in Shelby ever since. 

I have two wonderful boys, both attended PCA. My oldest graduated in 2023 and my youngest graduated in 2026. We also have  a cute grey and white cat named Sargent Pepper McCatney , but we just call her Pepper. As you can see we are huge Beatles fans.
