31 May 2019: Last week of school. All classes will launch their bottle rockets around 9:10 on Tuesday morning.

Homework: If you made less than 50 points on your Cities of the Carolinas presentation, you may fix and resubmit for *up to* half credit back. It must be re-submitted by 8am on the morning of your next class. The grade slip must be returned to Mrs. Jacobs for re-grading.

APRIL 2019

26 April 2019: All classes began working on bottle rockets. Each student needs to bring in a *clean, dry* two liter bottle for their rocket. Students are working in pairs and each rocket requires two bottles. All other supplies are provided.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you made less than 50 points on the Cities of the Carolinas presentation, you may fix it and resubmit for *up to* half credit back. All re-submissions are due by the beginning of their class the week of April 29 - May 3 (Stewart, not having met this week will be due May 6th). Students had the graded rubric handed back to them during class this week (April 29th for Stewart).

5 April 2019: UPDATE: Due dates moved to next week due to testing schedule. This was the last week to work on the Google Slide presentation (except for Mrs. Barnes' class). Make sure it is turned in by Friday at 3:05pm!!

15 March 2019: All students should have their twelve slides (one title, ten content, and one bibliography) made before next week's class. This week's lesson showed how to change the theme of the presentation, make all text consistent (in size, color, and font), and how to add basic pictures.

Homework: Get your ten facts onto the slide presentation.

8 March 2019: The fourth graders have all begun to put their research onto a Google Slide presentation. Students who did not turn in a Cities of the Carolinas Research Document are using the provided information about Edisto Beach, South Carolina, to make their presentations.

The document is due by Friday for Mrs. Bridges' class. All other classes have already begun Phase 2, which is a Google Slide presentation. Requirements are posted to the Google Classroom.

If you are not averaging 5-6 questions answered and cited each class period, you MUST work on this assignment outside of class. Just log into your school account from any internet-connected computer. It is NO DIFFERENT than logging in at school.

18 December 2018: Mrs. Stewart's class honed their research skills with a Christmas Around the World digital scavenger hunt.

UPDATE (11 Dec 2018): Due to three snow days this week, we will postpone the beginning of our Cities of the Carolinas project until the new year.

14 December 2018: Mrs. Barnes' class is on last week's lesson. All other classes began their research project on a city in either North or South Carolina. Research may be done from home, but the majority of the work should be done at school.

Homework: Look at the questions on the Google Doc. Try to find good websites to get answers from.
