* As always, Athletic Schedules are Subject to Change
Dear PCA Parents, Athletes, and Future Eagles,
As PCA Eagles Athletics continues to grow, we are implementing an important update to our Athletic Eligibility Protocol & Clearance System, effective with Fall 2025 sports tryouts and beyond.
To streamline the clearance process and prioritize student health and safety, we are adding a new requirement to our existing procedures. While a completed DragonFlyMax account remains mandatory, we will now require the following printed documents to be presented at the time of tryouts:
A printed and signed copy of a current athletic physical (must include medical clearance for participation).
A printed and signed copy of the Concussion Protocol Statement of Understanding.
(Form Links Provided Below)
With the rapid growth of PCA Athletics, it has become increasingly difficult for our department to be present at every tryout. By requiring these documents to be submitted on-site at tryouts, we can ensure that every student is properly cleared and safe for participation.
Important Notes:
No student will be allowed to participate in tryouts without these paper copies in hand.
The NCHSAA allows a 395-day window for athletic physicals, and PCA will follow the same guidelines set by the state of North Carolina.
Parents are responsible for ensuring their child’s physical is current before tryouts.
Parents should retain the original copy of their child’s physical to easily make copies for future tryouts. A copy can also be accessed in DragonFlyMax once uploaded.
A new hard copy submission is required for each sport your child tries out for.
The athletic physical must include a healthcare provider’s medical clearance to ensure eligibility.
For your convenience, we have attached the NCHSAA Physical Form and Concussion Form below.
We appreciate your support and cooperation in keeping PCA Athletics safe, organized, and prepared for success!
