  1. FTC Robotics meets after school on Thursdays. Please report to room 108 at the beginning of dismissal. Please contact Mrs. Jacobs at with any questions.

  2. Based on guidance from the state, as well as the data showing that our numbers of COVID cases are significantly decreasing, Pinnacle Classical Academy will be adopting a “Mask Optional” policy beginning February 28. We remain committed to continuing to provide a safe school environment for all our students and staff. This is not a decision we have taken lightly and we will continue to reevaluate this policy monthly.

  3. The NCDHHS has released new COVID-19 guidelines for K-12 schools. A key update is that while students/families do still have the option of a 5 day quarantine after exposure, it is no longer mandatory.
We, at PCA, will continue to notify you and parents if there is an exposure in a classroom. Families will receive written notification home with their student/or by email. If you are notified of an exposure in your student's classroom, it is then recommended (not mandated) that your student:

    • Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 days after the last known exposure, unless an exemption to face covering applies.

    • Be tested immediately if symptomatic, and on day 5 after exposure, unless the person tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days.

We continue to work with the state to provide rapid antigen testing for our students should families choose after an exposure. The Test to Stay program has also been adjusted to reflect this update. If you feel that a student has developed symptoms, parents/guardians may still contact the school health team to arrange for testing. We ask that you continue to assist us in monitoring students for any symptoms and if they develop, please notify us for testing/guidance. Please contact Mrs. Leah Costner at if you have any questions.

  1. Cell phones and all other personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smartwatches, MP3 players, personal computers/laptops, video games, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed at school during the school day. Any personal electronic device found during the day will be confiscated. Refer to the school website for the full technology policy.

  2. Dress Code Reminder: Make sure students are following the school dress code. Please remember that students may not wear hoodies or hooded jackets inside the building at any time. Please make sure that all student clothing, including jackets, coats, shoes, and socks, conforms to the dress code. Refer to the school website for guidelines. If violations occur, teachers/staff will issue a written notice of uniform violation that must be signed by the parent and returned to the school.
