Wendy Root has been teaching art for 21 years at Pinkerton Academy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art education from Colby-Sawyer College. She completed the Certificate of Photography program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Most recently, she received her Master’s Degree in art education with a concentration in photography from the New Hampshire Institute of Art, as well.
Wendy Root was responsible for the creation and development of the photography program at Pinkerton Academy which has grown and expanded over the past fifteen years.
Ms. Root has displayed work in several juried exhibitions including NHIA’s annual Minumental exhibition, various alumni exhibitions and the Practice What You Teach exhibition. Her work was selected to be displayed in the New Hampshire Art Association’s New on the Scene exhibit. She was also honored with third place in the Exposed exhibition from the Arts League of Lowell.
Ms. Root currently co-advises the Photography Club, as well as, the Art Club at Pinkerton Academy.
