Christine Dion is an internationally award-winning published artist and received her formal training at the Currier Museum of Art's Art Center, The School of the Museum of Fine Art (Boston), Notre Dame College, The NH Institute of Art, and numerous workshops around the country. She has a BA in Art Education and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education.
Her work has been juried into several publications, including three Best of Drawing books and Art Journey Animals, published by North Light Books; 200 Tips, Techniques and Short Cuts for Sketching and Drawing, published by Quarto Publishing, London.
Christine’s colored pencil rendering of “Doc of Dock Square” was juried into the 16th Annual Colored Pencil Society of America’s International exhibition. Her 2007 award-winning work “Marsh View” was chosen by the Heartwood College of Art as “Most Skillfully Executed.” In 2003, she received an Honorable Mention in the SCBWI Bologna Children’s Book Fair Contest, Bologna, Italy. She is also published in the children’s book market.
Christine is the official K9 portrait artist of the NH Canine Troopers Association and is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, the Australian Coloured Pencil Artists and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
