Practice your music diligently before camp! You should know the show tunes and pregame songs before Aug. 5th. Tunes are listed below.
BAND CAMP IS MANDATORY FOR ALL!
Camp Schedule: Aug 5-9 11am-7:30pm dinner break 4-5pm
Aug 5th First day of camp 9am Senior meeting,
11am All report to HS main lobby to register, TURN IN YOUR FORMS, then report to the auditorium.
**ALL MUST TURN IN YOUR MEDICAL FORMS
A. Medical form for ALL: Mandatory Medical form print and return
B. Form to Carry Epipen or Inhaler: Carry form ONLY if needed print and return
C. Form if Meds must be taken during band camp, events or school hours (this form will be copied for the school nurse so that you do not need to complete it twice): Medication form ONLY if taking meds during the day.
Any necessary medications needed during camp hours must be checked in with the nurse at registration.
Aug 10 Richland Community Day Parade! 3:30pm Report, Finished at 4:30pm Section leaders and select members ** wear your band t shirt, shorts, sneakers. Bring your instrument with you! The parade route is very short.
Aug 12-15 noon -3pm Band practice Aug 16 Kennywood Day!

Have your section come up with a theme to dress up as. In the past some examples have been disco, farmers, and bees
Submit your ideas to the drum majors NLT Wednesday (Aug 7) Presentation limited to 2 minutes per section!
Themes for week 2 will be announced at camp.

Instrument with all necessary accessories (reeds, oil, etc), Dance team equip and Colorguard equip
Music in a flip folder (flip folders can be purchased at most local music stores. Make sure you have at least 10 plastic windows)
Lyre to hold your flip folder (can be purchased at any local music store)
Drill sheets (scroll down for files) **We will provide extras at camp if needed.
Pencil and pen to mark music and drill sheets (highlighter may also be helpful)
Tennis Shoes for marching (flip flops and sandals are only permitted during breaks and while inside)
Water bottle(s) bring plenty of water!

Drill Files are attached below for you to watch and study. The videos will also be accessed on Youtube. Search Pine-Richland Band.
Each member will be assigned to 1 of the positions in the video. Section leaders and directors will assign marching spots. The drill sheets map the drill from the video. Each member will have a number that is assigned to a letter. The position of the letter on the drill page corresponds to a position on the field. Each square of the drill sheet equals 1 step. We will use the drill sheets to map our show during camp. DRILL SHEETS WILL BE PROVIDED AT CAMP, BUT FEEL FREE TO PRINT YOUR OWN. Make sure to put your name on them and staple or secure them together.
