Autumn leaves are falling and we are dropping beats in music class!

Sixth grade students are using Djembe's to create 3-4 part drumming ostinatos!

n November, students will be learning about Native American Music!

Historically, music is an integral part of the spiritual, social, and cultural life of Native American people.

This included religious ceremonies, storytelling, healing rituals, work songs, courtship, and social dances, often deeply intertwined with nature and passed down through generations through oral tradition; with the voice, drums, and flutes being primary instruments used to convey these meanings through song and melody.
