Please review and become familiar with our biome polices.
Each night, your student will come home with a binder and a planner. Parents will supply their students with the binder. The school will supply students with the planner.
Please check your student’s binder and planner nightly. The planner will list homework assignments and due dates. The binder will contain their assignments for all subject areas.
It is also recommended to check the Daily Work Slideshow for assignments and due dates (access through google classroom).
Our team communicates through our website and email. Please do not use the ClassDojo messaging app.
Use our biome website to find schedules, announcements, weekly newsletters, and important information within each subject area.
Preferred individualized communication is through our emails:
Miss Furge: Cfurge@pinerichland.org
Mr. Belchick: Tbelchick@pinerichland.org
Mrs. Hohman: Lhohman@pinerichland.org
Mrs. Tiller: Ltiller@pinerichland.org
Students are responsible for making up work they missed while they were absent OR at a lesson.
Students should use the Daily Work Doc to know classwork and homework assignments.
Absence/Early Dismissal/Tardy
Parents have two options to record a student's absence/early dismissal/tardy. The first option is to send a handwritten note to school. This note must include a parent's signature. The second option is to upload the student absence/early dismissal/tardy to the Community Portal. If a parent chooses option two, it is also recommended that they email the student's respective teacher about the absence/early dismissal/tardy (teachers do not get notifications from the Community Portal).
The latest Early Dismissal should be 2:50 PM.
Medical Excuses: If parents receive medical excuse notes from appointments, they can be submitted either way as described above. The absence/early dismissal/tardy will be changed from parent excused to medically excused.
Car Riders: Parents have two options to notify their student's homeroom teacher about being a car rider. The first option is to send a handwritten note to the school. This note must include a parent's signature. The second option is to email their student's respective teacher.
Family Trips: Parents must submit the Family Educational Tour or Trip Form through the Community Portal.
Toys and electronics must be kept in student lockers.
Slime is not permitted at school.
Please label all coats, jackets, backpacks, sweaters, and lunch boxes with your child’s first and last name.
During the winter months, please be mindful of what your student is coming to school in. They must wear a coat. We also suggest that they wear gloves and a hat.
Because of our noon lunchtime, 4th Grade Aquatics does not have a snack time.
Water bottles should be kept in student lockers.
Students have ~9 transitions throughout the school day. We encourage students to use that time to use the restroom and get a drink. Once class begins, students are expected to stay in the classroom. This helps us make sure all students are accounted for and that students receive the entirety of that day's instruction. Students may leave the classroom in emergency situations.
