Attendance will be taken daily. Please submit your attendance form everyday. Set an alarm on your phone or a reminder in your Chromebook.
Wednesdays
9 am - 9:50 am
1 pm - 1:50 pm
Q. Are we going to have any assignments during online school?
A. Yes. Please watch Infinite Campus, Google Classroom, and your class pages (see above) for assignments
Q. What if I forgot to do Monday's attendance?
A. Attendance started today (Wednesday March 18th). I would recommend you set an alarm on your Chromebook or phone so you don't forget to complete your daily attendance.
Q. What am I supposed to do?
A. Everyday, check on the website for each of your classes for updates. Create a checklist for assignments and due dates. Attend office hours for your teachers if you are confused or have questions. Stay calm. :)
Q. After the break will we get our sweatshirts?
A. Yes, if you did not pick up your orchestra sweatshirt yesterday, I will have them for you as soon as we are all back together.
Q. Is there a requirement for how many times I attend office hours.
A. Please check in with each of your teachers 1 - 2 times per week, even if it is just to say you are understanding the work and are keeping up okay.
Q. Is there anything assigned this week?
A. Check your individual teachers' websites. For Ms. Reveyrand specifically, each class has a small task or two to complete to ease us into virtual learning.
Q. When will the diploma assignment be posted?
A. The "Transcripts and Pinecrest Diplomas" assignment for College Prep will be posted next week after a few notes. Keep an eye on Infinite Campus, Google Classroom, and the College Prep Virtual Classroom for assignments.
Q. Do I need to use my student email for SmartMusic?
A. Any email you can access easily is acceptable.
Q. In Google Classroom, what are you referring to when you say "the 6 sessions?"
A. I have 2 office hour sessions each day: 8 am and 11 am. By Friday, March 20th, please plan to check in to one of these office hour sessions.
Q. How will Zoom work?
A. Every day at 8 am and 11 am, I hold "office hours" for you to pop on and ask questions or get some help with assignments. I ask that you check in 1 - 2 times per week so I know you are following the assignments okay. Click on the Zoom link (found on Google Classroom, or Ms. Reveyrand's Distance Learning Classroom) to join.
Q. How do I get the notes for the next week?
A. Notes will be posted on Monday, March 23rd on the Virtual Classroom for your class. Please check the site at least once per day for updates.
Q. How do I join SmartMusic?
A. Check your email for the website and class code. Once you enter your information, it may take a few minutes because I need to approve students. Just be patient and check back later if you didn't get in right away.
Q. How will assignments be turned in?
A. Assignments will be turned in through Google Classroom submissions or through SmartMusic submissions. In SmartMusic, you will record with the red button and then submit the recording you are satisfied with.
Q. How do I get help logging in to my computer?
A. On the Pinecrest Cadence website, under "students" there is a Tech Ticket you can submit. They will help you remotely if possible.
Q. How was your week so far?
A. A little sad without seeing your faces!
All SmartMusic, Google Classroom, and any other assignments are no longer accepted. Grade books have now closed. Good Luck on your opportunity exams for this final week, and have a WONDERFUL summer!
If you have items that need to be returned to campus, or have remaining items left on campus, you may pick those up on Tuesday, May 27th.
This week, my Zoom Office Hours will be from 8:00 - 8:30 am and 11:00 - 11:30 am.
If you missed any check-in forms between April 14th and May 8th, you may complete the following assignment to regain points:
Study Skills Make-Up Work Assignment
To receive credit for any missing weekly check-in assignments for study skills you must complete and turn in the following assignment to receive partial credit.
Write a five-paragraph essay discussing how you have spent your time in quarantine and why you did not feel motivated to complete your work and why you feel you should receive credit now.
Please format your assignment appropriately using 12pt font and 1.5 line spacing.
You will be graded on the content as well as your ability to meet the assignment formatting and length requirements.
Please note, because we will not be returning to physical school this semester, I have eliminated the signature requirement for the portfolio project. That is, you are no longer required to get signatures from Ms. Cox and Ms. Tuttle, and the total value of the project is 200 points rather than the original 250 points.
You also will submit electronic "portfolios." Please keep an eye out for a video for my expectations.
I am seeing a concerning spike in assignments submitted that have clearly been copy-and-pasted.
I am still checking your assignments, and as always, you are to be completing your OWN assignments, unless I specify otherwise.
I also expect you to add 5 NEW colleges to your spreadsheet each week. If I find you copy and pasting from earlier lines in your spreadsheet, I am requiring you to delete the lines you copied and pasted, and fill in with *NEW* colleges. If it continues to be an issue, I will mark the week as "cheated" and you will not have the opportunity to make up those points.
We have discussed this extensively and I have been crystal clear about my expectations.
You know better. Be better.
Please make sure to login and complete your CERT assessment. Set aside time to complete the entire assessment.

If you previously found your Zoom links for my office hours on in your class's Virtual Classroom, they will no longer be accessible there. To find Zoom links for my office hours, please log in to Google Classroom. When in your class click on "Classwork" (tab at the top). Under the "Distance Learning" section, you will find the links you need.
Check it out with your families. Offered almost daily.
ALL COLLEGE PREP STUDENTS: PLAN TO ATTEND THE 11 AM ZOOM SESSION.
If you haven't checked in with me via Zoom (and you have a missing in the grade book), please join me at one of my Office Hour Sessions. I will give you credit once you check in with me.
SmartMusic Assignments: I will reassign excerpts if I believe you can score higher. Please spend some time on the assignments. You should be spending at least a half hour per day on days when SmartMusic is assigned. If you are getting frustrated, walk away and come back to it. I am flexible right now with deadlines. You have plenty of time right now, so I expect you to work at these assignments.
If you have not done so already, please set an alarm on your phone or a reminder on your Chromebook for your daily attendance. It is important that you fill out the forms daily for all classes.
Please check in to your class page everyday for updates.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are for working out any (and I'm sure there will be plenty) of bugs. Please try out the tools and resources early so we have time to make adjustments over the next few days. Be patient. Be flexible.
Please do not "decline" calendar invitations for Google Meet Office Hours. The calendared events are how you are able to access Google Meet if you need the resource.
