Hello,
I am beyond thrilled to be your third grade teacher! This year will be a new, exciting adventure for us all and I can't wait to take this journey with you. I have been teaching for five years, all of which have been at Pinecrest. Teaching brings me joy because I get the opportunity to be a part of every child's growth and help them reach a new level of success.
I came to the United States at the age of 6 from Cuba. Only knowing how to speak Spanish was really challenging and at times extremely frustrating. Overtime, I managed to learn the language with the assistance of many special people in my life, most of which were my teachers. As a teacher, I believe that I play an important role in my students' lives. To me it is crucial to have an established connection because it is what makes the difference. It is through relationships that I am able to provide the assistance, guidance and support my students' needs.
I vow to create an environment in which my students feel cared about. A place where they can safely express their thoughts and ideas without repression. But most importantly, I strive to make my class a place that values and welcomes every child's unique talents and strengths.
I look forward to a triumphant year!
Love,
Ms. Yero
