ABOUT MRS. SANDOR
This is Mrs. Sandor's 18th year teaching music in Pine Bush School District. She has taught at Pine Bush Elementary School for seven years, taught 8th grade music classes in the 2009-2010 school year, and this will be her 11th year at E.J. Russell Elementary School. Previously, she taught one year in a local middle school, where she taught Music Exploratory (General Music) classes as well as the 6th Grade, 7th & 8th Grade, and Select Choruses.
She has directed 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade Musicals as well as teaching 4th and 5th grade Choruses. It has been an honor to prepare 5th Grade OCMEA All County Singers for the annual concert.
At the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College (CUNY - Flushing, NY), Mrs. Sandor studied Vocal Pedagogy with Dr. Robert White, Jr., and conducting with Professor Lawrence Eisman and Dr. Paul Maynard. She sang in choruses directed by Dr. Robert White, Jr. and Dr. Paul Maynard, and performed at Avery Fischer Hall in Lincoln Square with the Queens College Choir.
Mrs. Sandor earned a Masters of Science Degree with Distinction in Instructional Technology from the New York Institute of Technology in 2007.

- Mrs. Sandor attended a Saturday in-service with Dr. John Feierabend held by the CNJOASA - the Central New Jersey American Orff-Schulwerk Association.
Mrs. Sandor brings to the Pine Bush School District a wealth of almost 50 years of non-academic teaching experience - teaching piano, brass, and theory privately, and teaching drum and bugle corps and bands in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and England. She has arranged music for and taught Championship groups at every level in the U.S.A. and abroad.
Mrs. Sandor's entire family is musical! In her spare time, Mrs. Sandor likes to write or arrange music, write poetry and stories, read, travel, enjoy the country, and teach music!

MISSION STATEMENT
To provide students with training in the discipline of music that meets the New York State, Federal, and District Standards for Music.
To assist students in developing personal musicianship skills and promoting life-long learning skills for a generation of citizens who will be moved by quality music literature.
To provide a nurturing environment in which to engage students in music making and developing their personal skills.
To prepare children to become musical in three ways: to be Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful.
