Did you miss the parent & student orientation?

Hello 7th Graders and Families!

We are very excited to have your child joining us at Pathfinder School and we look forward to seeing them at our Virtual 7th Grade Orientation Day on August 12. Although the physical school won’t be open yet, we are still able to get your 7th grader off to a great start with our WEB program!

WHAT IS WEB?

WEB is a nationwide program designed to welcome and support 7th graders by connecting them with WEB Leaders, who are positive, responsible, hand-selected 8th graders. Your students WEB Leaders will help them feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school. All great stuff!

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

1. Your child will receive an emailed invitation to orientation. If they have not received the email by August 11th, please email me at ccurvin@pinckneypirates.org.

2. A day or two before orientation, your child will also receive a phone call from their WEB leader personally inviting them to orientation, and giving the details of how to virtually join and at what time. The Leaders can also answer any questions they may have.

3. On orientation day, your student will meet their WEB Leaders and a small group of other 7th graders via zoom.

4. In order for your child to maximize their experience, we recommend that they use their school chromebook.

As much as you may want to join in or watch over the shoulder of your child, 7th grade orientation is for students only! However, we would love to see you when we have our virtual parent meeting. Families can join Ms. Sandula at 1:00 or 6:00 on August 12 for a brief Zoom Orientation meeting. She will be covering daily schedules, class schedules, safety protocols and other necessary information.
