D2L Support for Dual Enrollment Instructors
We are excited to announce the all-new D2L Essentials course. Designed to be self-paced, this course and reference tool is your guide to mastering the D2L Brightspace platform and honing both fundamental and advanced skills necessary for effective teaching and learning.
If you are interested, you can self-register for this course. Here's how:
Navigate to the "My Home" area of D2L by clicking on the house icon in the top left of the screen.
Select the "Self Registration" located toward the top of the screen in the navbar.
Click on "D2L_Essentials" to begin the enrollment process.
The course is organized to provide a thorough, self-paced walkthrough of the vital tasks that faculty members perform in D2L Brightspace. The training incorporates detailed, step-by-step tutorials, known as "ScreenSteps," available within the course and as a separate searchable archive. This archive is constantly updated and can be accessed here: https://pimacc.screenstepslive.com/ .
By joining the course, you'll connect with valuable resources and learn critical tasks, such as:
Navigating the platform
Organizing course content
Managing gradebooks
Effectively utilizing communication tools
Setting up classrooms
Creating and managing video content
We designed this course to empower your growth at your own pace. It is estimated it will take most users about 3-5 hours to complete the course in its entirety. You can actively monitor and report your progress through each module thanks to the in-depth tutorials, optional Sandbox account practice, and self-reporting mechanisms. Please note that, currently, this is not a compensated activity for adjunct faculty.
Additional guidance or 1-to-1 support is available. Please contact Faculty Services & Resource Centers to schedule an appointment, contact them by phone at (520) 206-6511, or by email at faculty-services@pima.edu.
