Do You Know Someone Attending College?
College can be one of the most rewarding yet financially challenging times in a person's life! Not to mention students are increasingly returning to school at a later time in life - which means they often are taking care of others whilst caring for themselves.
Often, we see that their biggest struggle is having food for themselves. But they are not alone and there are resources that could help alleviate food insecurity. You can check out our college hunger page for all the resources and support but here are some ways to support the college student in your life:
Encourage them to apply for SNAP. They might qualify and not even know it.
Help them find a campus pantry - most colleges have one!
Drive them to a food bank. Find the closest on our map here.
