Pima Faculty Emeriti

Faculty Emeritus is one of the Pima's highest honors, recognizing retired faculty whose careers reflect sustained excellence and significant service to the College. Candidates must have served at least 15 continuous years as full-time employees, including at least 10 years as full-time faculty, be retired and in good standing with the College, and be recognized for outstanding contributions to their discipline, students and the College community. Nominations are reviewed and approved by the Faculty Senate before being conferred by the Governing Board.

Amy Cramer, Ph.D.

Full-time faculty in Economics for 23+ years
Business Department Chair, Economics Discipline Coordinator, founding Director of the Voices On The Economy (VOTE) Center
Co-author of award-winning open educational resource (OER) textbook “Voices On The Economy (VOTE)”
Honors include Pima Community College Outstanding Faculty Award and Arizona Council for Economics Education Economics Education Leadership Award

Rob Modica

Adjunct and full-time faculty 1973–2014 consecutively, teaching Anthropology, History and Humanities, lead faculty for five disciplines
Faculty Senate (30 years), Curriculum Council (33 years)
Established one of country’s first transferable Asian Studies degree programs
Honors include Apple Awards, Distinguished Faculty Award and Phi Theta Kappa Owl Mentor recognition

Mike Stack

Nearly 25 years at PCC as adjunct instructor and full-time Art faculty, including Arts & Humanities Department Chair
Founded Sculpture-On-Campus program
Collaborated on interdisciplinary learning with science, health and criminal justice programs
Honors include PCC Foundation Outstanding Faculty Award, East Campus Distinguished Faculty Award, two PCCC Board of Governors Recognition of Excellence honors

Ken Vorndran, Ph.D.

From 2001-2021 full-time faculty, including lead faculty, in writing, creative writing and honors courses; 2021-2023 adjunct instructor
Northwest Campus Honors Program Coordinator, PTK Advisor
PCC's first collegewide Honors Program Coordinator, as well as roles as campus Business Department Head, and in Writing CDAC and many program advisory boards
