With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of health equity promotion and community planning, Emily has worked across federal, university, and local levels. She specializes in collaborating with community groups to drive policy and environmental changes that improve access to healthy food and safe places to be physically active.
Emily completed a three-year public health fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and was a United States Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture Predoctoral Fellow.
Emily holds a PhD from the Tufts University, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
