Remind Text Alerts


For the past several years, I have used a service called Remind to make it easy to contact band members and parents in the event of schedule changes and/or cancelations (i.e. a parade being cancelled due to bad weather). This free service was developed as a safe way for teachers to contact students. Everyone needs to register to receive the alerts, either via text message or email, so I know that everyone is getting the latest information. The system requires you to enroll by sending a text or email, depending on how you would like to receive updates. The only personal information that the system requires is your email address or cell phone number and your name. Your phone number and email address are not accessible to anyone.
