Pike County JVSD Asphalt Seal Coating Quotes

The Pike County JVSD is seeking quotes for asphalt seal coating.

Quotes shall be submitted prior to April 30, 2024 to be considered. The project shall be completed Between July 1st and July 30th, 2024. 

Contractor must adhere to all OSHA standards, be a qualified contractor in the State of Ohio and carry workers compensation and full liability insurance.

Contractor is responsible for calculating the area indicated outlined in red to be seal coated and new lines. Includes three crosswalks indicated with yellow, one no parking spot indicated with yellow, all parking spaces shall be lined and are unmarked on the document within the red lined area. Contractor is responsible for traffic control and communication with the CTC maintenance staff.

All areas will be properly cleaned and blown off to ensure adhesion between asphalt and seal. Cracked areas will be cleaned and filled with Type II Commercial Grade hot rubberized crack sealer to prevent sub-base damage and extend the life of the pavement. Two applications of asphalt sealer (with sand mix) will be sprayed to cover the area to protect asphalt from rain, freezing and thawing, and oil/gasoline. All seal coat is mixed to manufacturing guidelines, do not dilute seal to add coverage. Diluting seal greatly shortens the life of the sealer. 

Yellow paint for parking space lines, white paint for crosswalks, blue paint for handicap parking lines and symbols.
