2023 Scholarship Winners
The Pierz Community generously grants our graduates numerous scholarships each year. This year, our graduates received over $52,750 from businesses, sponsors, and individuals in the community. LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The local scholarship application is due to Mrs. Essen by February 22nd, 2024. It is your responsibility to get it in on time, as well as making sure it is complete. As a courtesy, I will call you down once to remind you what is missing from the application. If the scholarship packet is incomplete, we will forward it to the local organizations the way you submit it to us.
Please open both documents and make a digital copy of each so that you may edit on your OWN copy. The local scholarship application should be filled out online and printed when complete. Please make sure to TYPE your scholarships and not hand write on them.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS NEED TO BE TURNED BY FEBRUARY 22, 2024.
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: Select the scholarships you would like to apply to and complete any additional essays.
YOUR PERSONAL LETTER (instructions are on page 7 of the LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION)
A RECOMMENDATION FORM FROM 2 PEOPLE
Allow 3 weeks time for people doing your recommendation form.
Optional: Here is a Letter of Recommendation Information Form, this is a guide that the writer can use to help them write your letter.
Send a Thank You card after to those who filled out the Recommendation form for you.
It is YOUR responsibility to meet all the deadlines. Students can see Mrs. Essen if you are having troubles submitting your documents in Google classroom or issues with printing it.

There are many other scholarships that you can apply for that don't use our local scholarship application. Keep in mind the deadlines of these scholarships, because they will NOT be the same deadline as for the local scholarship application. This list is only a fraction of the scholarships out there that students can apply for.

It is your responsibility to follow the deadlines. No Scholarship will be accepted that has missed the deadline.
Be careful when giving out your information. Some websites are created simply as lead generation venues which may sell your information to 3rd party companies or use your email to send spam. Scholarships are designed to help you pay for college. Stay away from services that require that you pay money to apply.
