GET TO KNOW YOUR ART TEACHER, MISS WRIGHT!

Ms. Wright is originally from Jacksonville, FL. While living in Jacksonville, she received a B.A. in art and art history from the University of North Florida. Early in her teaching career, Ms. Wright changed her focus to math and science. She saw a critical need to incorporate creative mindsets in STEM Fields. She has spent over 14 years teaching advanced and gifted math and science in the middle school classroom. While teaching she attended Valdosta State University and received her Masters in education for curriculum and instruction, and is currently working on her doctoral degree (a childhood dream of hers). She sees learning as a lifelong process.

Teaching art was always Ms. Wright's ultimate dream job, and she feels truly blessed to be at Pierce County Middle doing what she loves the most. She hopes that every student that enters her classroom has a fun experience that will encourage them to become lifelong learners and creators.

Thanks to your support and a grant, we have funding for several new pottery wheels!
