Pickleball Hamilton is dedicated to introducing, teaching and growing the game within the Greater Hamilton Community. We are passionate about and committed to providing inclusive, varied and accessible programming in a well-maintained and safe environment.
Pickleball Hamilton began its journey in 2011 as the Hamilton Pickleball Club, inspired by a visit to The Villages in central Florida. Jeff Morgan, captivated by the sport's energy and accessibility, started renting gymnasium space at Delta Secondary School to introduce pickleball to his family and friends. The momentum grew quickly, and Rick Stevens soon joined forces with Jeff, playing a pivotal role in transforming this grassroots effort into Pickleball Hamilton. By late 2014, the organization was officially incorporated as a not-for-profit, solidifying its commitment to fostering community and growing the game.
Since then, Pickleball Hamilton has offered programming for hundreds of local players, advocating for the sport’s development across the City of Hamilton. From humble beginnings to becoming a cornerstone of the community, Pickleball Hamilton continues to bring people together through the joy of the game.
Pickleball Hamilton acknowledges our presence on ancestral Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee Confederacy land as determined by the Dish with One Spoon treaty. The intent of this agreement is for all nations sharing this territory to do so responsibly, respectfully and sustainably in perpetuity. We respect the longstanding relationships with the local Indigenous communities, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Six Nations of the Grand River.
