PHYSIS OCEAN Lab® is born from the convergence of advanced biotechnology and design. Our laboratory researches and develops bio-based materials (plants), exploring the properties of marine resources such as algae to lead the next generation of biomaterials.
Biomaterials represent the forefront of scientific innovation, offering effective alternatives to traditional chemical processes. Our focus is on creating high-performance textile solutions: materials that are biodegradable, hypoallergenic, water-resistant, flame-retardant, and thermally stable.
Our roadmap includes the research and scalability of diverse biomaterials, from bacterial bio-leather (SCOBY) to mycelium. Currently, we are optimizing our circularity processes by combining natural fibers (organic silk and cotton) with high-quality recycled materials. We firmly believe that the future of fashion lies in the practical application of science.
