Title: New higher derivative action for tensor multiplets in N=2 conformal supergravity in four dimensions

  • Abstract: In this talk we will discuss a new higher derivative action for N=2 tensor multiplet in four dimensional N=2 conformal supergravity. We will begin with the construction of a new density formula in N=2 conformal supergravity where we will follow the covariant superform approach discussed earlier in the literature. We will further use this density formula to construct an invariant action for the N=2 real scalar multiplet which was introduced by Howe, Stelle and Townsend for flat space supersymmetry [Nuclear Physics B, Volume 214, Issue 3, 1983] and extended to conformal supergravity by us [Phys. Rev. D 97, 066026, 2018]. We further use the embedding of the N=2 tensor multiplet in the real scalar multiplet to finally obtain the higher derivative action for the tensor multiplet in N=2 conformal supergravity in four dimensions.
