Centre for Strings, Gravitation and Cosmology (CSGC) - a research centre instituted as part of Institute of Excellence (IoE) initiative of the Government of India at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Chennai, India is organizing a workshop titled
AI/ML for Gravitational Wave Astronomy
during Feb 2-3, 2026 to bring together experts in gravitational wave astronomy, astrophysics, theoretical physics and computer science to discuss and chalk-out problems in the field of gravitational wave astronomy that particularly benefit from recent progress in AI/ML approaches. The aim of the workshop is to foster in-depth discussions and collaborative opportunities in this exciting area of research.
The workshop will feature presentations by leading researchers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions to explore:
Current modelling/data-analysis challenges in Gravitational wave astronomy.
Modern AI/ML tools currently being explored.
An AI-ML-GW Symphony: current and future prospects.
Organisers:
