1. Airport to Taichung High Speed Rail (HSR) station

From Taoyuan airport to Taichung HSR station

You can take the Taiwan high speed rail (THSR) from Taoyuan HSR station to Taichung station.

- Travel time: about 40 min 

- One-way THSR fare: NTD 540 for a standard seat

From Songshan airport to Taichung HSR station

You can take the bus/metro/taxi from Songshan airport to Taipei station. Then you can take the Taiwan high speed rail (THSR) from Taiwan High Speed Rail Taipei Station to Taichung station.

- Travel time: 30 min (from Songshan to Taipei station) + about an hour or less (from Taipei to Taichung)

- One-way THSR fare: NTD 700 for a standard seat

There are many public transportations in Taichung city. Taxi service is also available outside of the HSR station. Please see the following link for detailed instructions to get to the NCHU campus.

a.    Take ChuanHang (全航客運) Shuttle Transport Line 158 to the side door of “Guoguang Road” of National Chung Hsing University.

b.   Take the Taichung (臺中客運) Shuttle Bus Line 33 to the gate of the “Xingda Road” of National Chung Hsing University.

c. Transfer to the Taiwan Railway: From the Taiwan Railway Xinwuri Station to Taichung Station, take the method 3. To National Chung Hsing University.

- Travel time: about 30-40 min by bus, 15-20 minutes by taxi 

- Typical fares: NTD 22 for a bus ride, NTD 250 for a taxi ride

from Taichung HSR/ Train station to the NCHU campus

There are many public transportations in Taichung city. Please see the following link for detailed instructions to get to the NCHU campus.

a. Take the Tonglian (統聯客運) Shuttle Bus Line 73 at the Taichung Station Front Station to the gate of the“Xingda Road”of National Chung Hsing University for about 15 minutes.

b. Take the Taichung (臺中客運) Shuttle Bus Line 33 and 35 to the gate of the“Xingda Road”of National Chung Hsing University in Taichung Station for about 15 minutes.

Please arrange your accommodation by yourself. National Chung Hsing University is located in Taichung city, where abundant hotel options are available. We recommend hotels around either Taichung train station or the NCHU campus. Please note that Taichung train station is in the city center and close to the campus, whereas Taichung HSR station is far from the campus.
