Ms. Mouras was born and raised in California, and graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) from William Jessup University with a Master's Degree in Teaching. Ms. Mouras has received various awards and recognitions for her art throughout her life. At the age of eleven, Ms. Mouras was a top finalist in the Java City Art Contest and had her pastel piece displayed at the Crocker Museum for a month. In high school, she won the Artistic Excellence Award at the Rocklin High School. In college, Ms. Mouras won Best Painting Award at the Sierra College Annual Juried Student Exhibition, 1st place Certificate Award at CSUS Annual Student Awards 2017, and 1st place Witt Art Award at CSUS Annual Art Awards 2017. She has experience working with a variety of art materials such as: acrylic, oil paint, ink, chalk, pastel, watercolor, clay, ceramic, mixed media sculptures, and many more.Â
The 2025/6 school year will be her third-year teaching at Weimar Hills School, and she is looking forward to teaching both Art and English! Prior to teaching at Weimar Hills School, she taught high school English for two and half years in the Roseville Joint Union High School District and Marysville Joint Unified School District.
