How to Request & Use Meeting Owl Pro Device
Complete the Request for Space
Select "Inside" under "Will the event be inside, outside, or both?"
Select "In-person plus Zoom" under "Will this event be in-person, or also on Zoom?"
Select "Yes" under "Will you need the Meeting Owl Pro device?"
How to Use Meeting Owl Pro Device
1. Determine the best location for your Owl
In a small huddle room that fits two to four people, place the Owl in the center of the table, at least 12 inches from the TV. If you're meeting in a larger conference room (up to 15 feet by 20 feet), place the Owl in the center of the table. The Meeting Owl should be at least 3ft (1m) from the TV, but no more than 8ft (2.5m) from the farthest participant to ensure that they can be displayed on the Owl's Main Stage.
In classrooms, the Meeting Owl Pro can be placed on a desk at the front of the room. The Owl can also be mounted to a tripod and positioned in the center of the room for an equalized learning experience.
2. Turn the Owl over and plug in the USB cable and power adapter
Connect the Meeting Owl Pro to an in-room computer or laptop via USB and plug the Owl into power.
3. Load your video conferencing platform and choose the Meeting Owl for audio and video.
4. Start your meeting.
You're ready to get your meeting started. Return to your video conferencing software and start a session.
Audio/Visual Equipment
The sanctuary sound system, cameras, and projector may only be used by UUCP’s Audio/Visual technicians. The sanctuary balcony itself may only be accessed with an A/V tech or staff member present, even if the equipment is not being used. To see if an A/V tech is interested and available to help with your event, contact Music Director Benjie Messer at benjiemesser@phoenixuu.org.
Several pieces of A/V equipment can be used on campus by any UUCP members or groups. Smart TV's are mounted in the Johnson Room and Annex B, with remotes, pre-attached HDMI cables, Apple TV, and Chromecast adapters all nearby. An OWL camera for group teleconferencing can be checked out from the office. The music office houses a wireless bluetooth speaker, as well as a rolling keyboard amplifier and wired microphone. For instruction in using any of this equipment, please contact Music Director Benjie Messer at benjiemesser@phoenixuu.org.
