Motto
“Where Students Can Reach For the Stars”
STEM Vision
To cultivate a dynamic learning environment that inspires and motivates students to become lifelong learners. By integrating STEM education, we aim to develop and maximize individual strengths, ensuring our students are well-prepared for successful careers in STEM-related fields.
Connection to Indiana's Priorities for STEM Education
To support the 2023 Integrated STEM Standards, our school is committed to implementing several research-based strategies. High-quality STEM education begins with a solid, research-grounded foundation. By connecting the curriculum to students’ daily lives and integrating subjects, we aim to develop well-rounded thinkers. The US Department of Education emphasizes that interdisciplinary curricula make learning more relevant and engaging. Our hands-on activities facilitate real-world experiences, promoting deeper learning and helping students explore career paths. Collaborative learning allows students to support each other, while culturally relevant resources enhance engagement by recognizing diverse perspectives. Our strategies also encourage student decision-making and collaboration, fostering essential skills like communication, critical thinking, and creativity for lifelong learning.
