New Beginners

Current 5th graders that will be coming to Discovery for the 2019-2020 school year are encouraged to come to the Instrumental Selection Night (ISN) here at Discovery. The ISN is a great opportunity to try out band and orchestra instruments to see which instrument would make a good fit for each student. Every person's body is different and some instruments make a better fit than others. We encourage each student to keep an open mind and select the instrument that feels, looks and sounds great to YOU. Our ISN evenings are Monday and Tuesday February 24th and 25th at Discovery, with additional ISN evenings on March 3rd and 4th at Schmucker and March 9th and 10th at Grissom. You can attend any evening but we encourage you to go to the school your child will attend next year. Click on the links below for more information.
