Our Goals
The first set of the DANAS Project sourcebooks was launched at Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City during the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) 2024. On November 28, 2024, five (5) sourcebooks on Earthquake, Tsunami, and Volcano hazards in Cebuano and Hiligaynon languages, as well as the AVP were introduced to the public. These guides are designed to help communities better understand geological hazards and improve their ability to respond to disasters.
The second set of the DANAS Project sourcebooks was launched at PHIVOLCS Auditorium in Quezon City. On December 9, 2024, two (2) sourcebooks on Earthquake, Tsunami, and Volcano hazards in Tagalog and Kapampangan languages, as well as the AVP were introduced to the public. These guides are designed to help communities better understand geological hazards and improve their ability to respond to disasters.
The eighth of the DANAS Project sourcebooks was launched at PHIVOLCS Auditorium in Quezon City. On January 14, 2025, a sourcebook on Earthquake hazards in the Ilokano language, as well as the AVP were introduced to the public. These guides are designed to help communities better understand geological hazards and improve their ability to respond to disasters.
The last set of the DANAS Project sourcebooks was launched at Hotel Lucca in Legazpi City, Albay. On February 12, 2025, two (2) sourcebooks on Volcano hazards in the Bicolano (Albay and Sorsogon) language, as well as the AVP were introduced to the public. These guides are designed to help communities better understand geological hazards and improve their ability to respond to disasters.
