PEER FACILITATORS MOVEMENT ORGANIZATION OF PHINMA COC was founded in the year 2021 when the plight of the pandemic was still prominent. During this challenging period, the need for mental health support and peer assistance became increasingly evident, prompting the creation of this organization. The founders recognized that students were facing unprecedented levels of stress, anxiety, and isolation due to the sudden shift to online learning and the broader impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since its inception, the organization has implemented various initiatives to foster a sense of community and well-being among the student body. These initiatives include mental health workshops and seminars, kamustahan sessions, and social events designed to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote a positive school culture as well as training psychological first aiders. Additionally, the organization collaborates with mental health professionals to ensure that students have access to accurate information and professional support when needed.
The PEER FACILITATORS MOVEMENT ORGANIZATION OF PHINMA COC has grown significantly since 2021, expanding its reach and impact within the PHINMA COC community. It has become a vital resource for students, providing a safe space for them to share their concerns and seek help. The organization remains committed to its mission, vision and goals. It aims to adapt to the evolving needs of students, incorporating new strategies and technologies to enhance its support services. By promoting a culture of empathy, understanding, and mutual assistance, the organization aspires to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of students at PHINMA COC.
