Jamie and Craig Miller

Jamie and Craig live in the Queen Village neighborhood and cherish the strong sense of community that is there. They are the proud parents of Isabel, a former student of the preschool and their younger daughter Mya who will be graduating this spring.

They are both actively involved in the neighborhood, as they believe that it takes a village to make it all work. They join neighborhood committees, volunteer in their children’s school and love to help watch and care for children of friends, family and neighbors. They hope to teach their own children to have a welcoming and loving, kind home. Additionally, Craig and Jamie both work full time and make it a priority to see their extended families on a weekly basis.

In their own words:

“We are very thankful to have discovered Center City Jewish Preschool. It's not only an excellent learning environment where strong foundational blocks are built with incredible, loving teachers, and a great teaching philosophy, but also a place where families feel comfortable & welcomed. We can think of no better place to give our kids a head start on life.”

Dr. Marina Katsnelson and Eugene Desyatnik

Marina and Eugene live in the Bella Vista neighborhood and are the proud parents of Isabella, Raphi Berl and Aviva Ester. Marina is Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at University of Pennsylvania Health System and Eugene is a Data Architect at Radial. In addition to his longtime leadership on the Synagogue’s board of directors, he is president of the Bella Vista Neighbors Association, past president of the Data Management Association of Philadelphia and serves on the William Meredith School Advisory Council, Friends of Palumbo Park and Friends of the South Street Mini-Station.

In their own words:

“We must build on our prior success and fulfill our collective responsibility to invest in our future. Now, more than ever, we must rise to the challenge of reaching more in the Jewish community, including those in need; provide for increased security; preserve our majestic yet aging synagogue, and continue to be a beacon of Jewish life in Philadelphia.”

Blair and Lance Goldstein

Blair and Lance Goldstein are the proud parents of Brayden and Levi. Brayden, a 2017 graduate of CCJP, is a first grader at the William Meredith Elementary school. Levi will be graduating from CCJP this June. They have been residents of Queen Village since 2013.

Lance is a First Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch. He will be celebrating his 20th year at Merrill this summer. He has been very fortunate to have a career that has helped people through different stages of their financial lives and has had the great opportunity of working with families across multiple generations during his career. Blair is a clinical social worker and helped to develop a non-profit called Supportive Solutions for Kids, Inc. Through the integration of art and talk therapy, she helps kids to express themselves. She is currently practicing in two Philadelphia public elementary schools.

In their own words:

“Center City Jewish Preschool is such a special community where our kids were able to grow and develop through playing in a safe environment with Morahs who love and care for them.”
