Borrow Gear
The gear is here for you to use. If you borrow gear in class, only you may use it. It is your responsibility to see that it is returned in the condition in which you received it.
Check each section below for rules and checklists.
Have fun, friend!
Borrow a camera
Rules to borrowing a camera
No other person but the person who signs out the camera may use it. If any person but the one who signs out the gear is found to have used it, the person who signed it out will lose gear privileges going forward. (This is at the instructor’s discretion.)
No horseplay around the camera or camera gear. This is expensive equipment that takes a long time to replace. Everyone loses when something is lost or broken.
If an item is missing or broken, the student will lose gear privileges going forward. (This is at the instructor’s discretion.)

Before borrowing a camera:
Check that the camera bag has all the gear necessary to use it:
A camera body
A cap over the mirror of the camera
A lens filter
Lens caps on each end of the lens
A lens (the lens should always be covered by the lens filter— a lens is a $300 replacement, a filter is a $7 replacement)
A charged battery (found in the charger area of our room)
An SD card (front pocket of the bag in a plastic container)
Check that every item is in working order.
Once you borrow the camera, you are responsible for any damaged or missing items.
You will receive a failure grade for borrowing gear and will lose camera privileges indefinitely. So it is important to note any gear issues ahead of time.
Complete the ‘Borrow a Camera’ form below.
Mr Jackson will hand you your camera when he sees you have completed the form.
