This page will include IMPORTANT updates as they are received to support your preparation for local competition and the state competition. 

October 25:  

Use the current Tech Standards to prepare - new ones will be available in February - 1st place representatives should get the new ones to make sure prepared for the state contest.

Pin - the trading pin - any student member can submit - this information will be released on the state site on November 1.

If the tech standard says "Official SkillsUSA binder" for local competition a red binder is acceptable with a SkillsUSA sticker. For states, you will need an official binder.

October 31 - Registration is open TODAY. Here is a stepper to help you. FIRST, you MUST complete the registration process on the NATIONAL site. 

November 1: From National SkillsUSA 


We're delighted that your school has started a SkillsUSA chapter!  We would like to encourage you to join yourself and 15 students, in one technical program, prior to November 15 to receive a free SkillsUSA resource this year!  SkillsUSA is offering a training session, check your email for information 

November 2 - Registration for Closing ceremonies  due by DECEMBER 1

November 8 - 2 contests have been added - Action Skills and Promotional Bulletin Board

November 8 - Flyer for IndusTEA session  November 15

November 9 - CHANGES to election - making this easier for all   Culinary is December 11 at Audenreid. Schools were sent the shopping list. 

November 10 - Job Skill A competition is added   & look for Contest updates coming by Monday

NOVEMBER 15 - IMPORTANT changes.  

Digital Cinema Production -  You will receive the prompt on November 21. You will need to CREATE and bring the FINAL product on a Flash drive to the Competition on December 4. These changes are based on what is done at the state level and the recent changes made to the contest. There will be required documents to accompany the film that should be in a 1" binder, labeled with the contestant number (you will receive this as well). All details will be in the prompt. Advisors - please share immediately with your Film/TV production team and teachers. 

Culinary - You will receive your ingredient list TODAY so purchases can be made.  You will receive your prompt on December 7.  

NOVEMBER 15 

Each student competing in a TECHNICAL SKILLS BASED competition MUST take a test prior to their contest. These EXAMS are NOCTI-based. YOU will receive the exams on NOVEMBER 28 and MUST be completed by DECEMBER 1 - no exceptions. The scores will be included in your competitor's overall score, and points will be deducted if not taken. The scores may also be used as a tiebreaker if necessary.


RESUMES All competitors MUST have a resume - no matter what contest they are participating. This will be collected at the beginning of the competition. Not turning in a resume is also a deduction of points. 

November 15 - Because Opening Ceremonies is virtual - it will be sent to advisors Prior to December 4th - please share with chapter at your weekly meeting. 

November 5 - Engineering - will be at the Free Library on December 4th. 

November 19 - emails are going out on November 20 to remind Advisors to register. The deadline is Wednesday. If you are having issues with billing and be able to register let me know ASAP. Remember to submit your hours to your CAS. Read your tech standards for your competition. Share information with your teachers. 

November 20 - Advisors - please do not plan on bringing observers. I have heard people wishing to bring one or two. We do not have the plan or the room for them this year.  All members are more than welcome at Awards/Closing Ceremonies. 

November 22 - first Happy Thanksgiving. Reminder Registration closes at 8 PM this evening. Please look at the schedule of events - some dates have changed. 

November 27 - Exams have been sent to the schools that have registered. 

December 6 - Itinerary for Dec 19

Program: 9:30- 11:00 AM (Short Meeting with 1st place students and their advisors at front of Auditorium post ceremonies.)
