COVID Precautions

Dr. Klock, the District's Medical Officer, has recommended the following best practices for use of materials in class:

"The sharing of materials should be minimized. Students should have their own materials as much as possible. Shared materials should be wiped down and students' hands should be washed/sanitized before and after use. Partners should maintain 3 feet away from each other and mask."

We require that teachers borrowing materials from the library adhere to these best practices.

If adhering to the guidelines is not possible, convert the hands-on portion to a demonstration. Students can still engage in science practices by classtime on planning, modeling, predicting, analyzing, drawing conclusions, and revising their models using the data, even if they don't collect it themselves.

As an added precaution,Science Lending Library materials will be quarantined for three days between loans.
