Performance Task (1 week)
Extension activity:
Draw a self portrait showing important things that make you special.
As a class, write a name book with 1-2 sentences about something you like or that makes you special.
Have students use construction paper to make their very own pumpkin and leaves. Have them cut out the stages of the life cycle and glue them to their pumpkin. Teacher can attach leaves to green yarn, and create a class pumpkin patch.
Differentiation: students who are ready can add labels to their pumpkins.
