My family is very important to me. I have been married since 2009 to my husband John. We have two daughters, Charlotte and Fiona.
Reading is one of my favorite things to do when I have the time - even though there is never enough time! Thankfully, I spend a lot of time reading to my girls and they have discovered their love for books as well.
I love to cook. My favorite recipes are chili, crab and corn chowder, and shrimp creole. I also love to bake and my girls look for any excuse to eat cake!
The neighborhood in which you are raising your children is incredibly important and personal to me. I grew up right here on Welsh Road...one of our current students actually lives in my family's old house! I attended Pollock Elementary in Kindergarten and then finished elementary school at St. Jerome. I attended St. Basil Academy in Jenkintown for high school.
I played soccer and softball for Crispin Gardens AC until I was in 9th grade and was fortunate to have my father coach my soccer team. My family's favorite pizza was from Salvito's (and I even remember when it was originally located where the Dunkin Donuts is!). My first job in high school was at the Immaculate Mary Nursing Home in the dietary department. I played at Pollock playground and yes, attempted to climb the giant "A" but got scared at the last minute!
Northeast Philadelphia helped make me the person I am today and I am proud to be able to give back to my community by working at Pollock Elementary.
Graduated from Temple University in 2002 with my Bachelor's of Social Work.
Worked for Victim Services Center of Montgomery County as an Education Specialist and Crisis Counselor.
Earned my Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2009 from Holy Family University
I have been a school counselor with the School District of Philadelphia since 2009. My first position at the district was at Penn Treaty Middle School (now Penn Treaty High School).
I have been at Pollock Elementary since 2011.
