Mr. Kasner (Mr. K.) teaches Digital Literacy & Technology at Lewis Elkin Elementary School located in the Kensington area of Philadelphia. He teaches Kindergarten, first, second, third and fourth grades various computer skills throughout the school year. He has been teaching at Elkin for more than 28 years and loves it. He is married to Holly and has three children; Andrew, Brandon and Emily and one granddaughter; Luna. He has two dogs; Mason & Twinkie. Mr. K was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia and attended the Philadelphia School District. When Mr. K. was young, he used to play school with his younger brother and enjoyed teaching him new things. At that early age, he knew he wanted to become a teacher when he got older and help children learn. In addition to teaching all the students at Lewis Elkin, he is the School Technology Coordinator (S.T.C.) at Elkin where he helps support the teachers and staff members with any technology needs they may have throughout the day. He enjoys watching movies, football and of course technology of all kinds.
