The Need Project: Peco partners with the Franklin Institute to sponsor the Peco Energizing Education Challenge. STEM projects that focus on energy and energy conservation. This year's challenge was done by room 221! Click Here to see what Moffet students came up with! Search social media with #pecopeep for more. Check out our 3rd graders from room 221's work in this year's challenge. Through this partnership we also hold an energy fair and energy audits at Moffet!

About Design Team Philly "Compete 360 fosters a design thinking (DT) practice in city schools by training teachers and by facilitating student-led projects that address a problem in the classroom, school, or community. Compete 360 also hosts the DT Philly Challenge (grades 6-12) and the DT Philly Showcase (grades K-5), where students share their projects with professionals from the design and business communities.

The Franklin Institute’s Master Educator Program develops educational leaders through in-depth professional development about the brain, the science of learning, innovation, and collaboration. Through this yearlong certification program, teams of K-12 teachers and administrators from districts across southeastern PA and NJ work collaboratively to implement impactful, research-based practices that maximize learning and engagement for their students, teachers, and communities.
