Instrumental Program

Does your child want to learn to play a musical instrument? If selected for the instrumental music program, they will receive a lesson each week and will have the opportunity to perform in an ensemble that plays at various school functions throughout the year. Orchestra (strings) is open to students Grades 3 and up, and Band (woodwind, brass, percussion) is open to Grades 4 to 6.

Playing an instrument well enough to perform in an ensemble takes a real desire to succeed and a serious commitment to practice every day. If your child has the desire and is willing to make that commitment; and, if you are willing to encourage and support his or her efforts at home, please fill out the online interest form here. The number of school owned instruments is limited. However, if a school instrument is not available there are still some fairly inexpensive options.

Everyone who has done it knows that making music with other people is a wonderful experience. We hope your child will be able to share that experience with us.
