Writing

Ms. Perkins, Writing Teacher

Greetings,

It is with pleasure that I introduce myself, Ms. Perkins. To most, I am no stranger, a long time teacher with Anne Frank Elementary. For our new families, I am the writing specialist, better known as, the traveling educator with a plethora of stories and tricks up her sleeve. I’m tasked with preparing the minds of our future authors, educators, scientist, politicians, and more!

My goal is to invoke a love for writing, create proficient writers through small group activities, and last but not least care for the social and emotional needs of those who I have been entrusted to teach. In order to accomplish these goals and produce competent writers and well-rounded students here are set of expectations (the 5 Bee’s 🐝):

🐝 Be on time for all scheduled sessions.

🐝 Be actively engaged in lessons and activities.

🐝 Be kind and respectful to peers and staff.

🐝 Be open to try new and exciting strategies and tasks.

🐝 Be prepared to learn with necessary supplies.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at: tperkin@philasd.org. My quiet hours are from 7 pm to 8 am. Normally, I return all messages within a few hours. Below you will find a list of resources to utilize throughout the school year.
