Step away from the real world and into a concert full of imagination, mischief, and joy! “The Land of Make-Believe” is the Philadelphia Freedom Band's playful, family-friendly Spring Concert designed to delight younger listeners while giving adults a much-needed dose of musical escapism.
From cartoon-inspired symphonic works and whimsical wind ensemble classics from our Concert Bands to grooving and sparkling pieces from our Jazz Ensemble, this concert is sweet, silly, and seriously fun.
2026 PRIDE BANDS ALLIANCE CONFERENCE
May 21 - 25, 2026

PFB is hosting the annual conference of the international Pride Bands Alliance, a 5-day symphony of visibility, artistry, and community welcoming 350+ LGBTQ+ musicians from around the world to rehearse, perform, and connect.
The event includes a free parade & festival in partnership with Disability Pride Pennsylvania and a ticketed concert at the Kimmel Center's Marian Anderson Hall.
You can register as a full attendee to participate in one or more ensembles; or sign up as a guest to attend just the social events, workshops, and performances.

2026 Pride Bands Alliance Conference Concert
Sunday, May 24, 2026 | 7 PM
Marian Anderson Hall, Kimmel Center (300 S. Broad Street)
The concert, conducted by PFB Artistic Director Hayley Varhol, PFB Assistant Artistic Director Ryan Lowrie, and a range of guest conductors from other Pride Bands member ensembles, will feature two separate bands with a total of over 300 musicians from across the country.
