Thank you for visiting the Prairie-Hills School District IAR Parent Guide. The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is a computer-based standardized assessment for all students in Grades 3 - 8. The IAR is designed to measure students' progress in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. District 144 will administer the IAR from March 7th-27th. The test results provide the school district and families with information on student learning and facilitate continuous improvement of our educational programs.
Test Overview
English Language Arts
Grade 3: 2 tests (75 minutes each)
Grade 4-8: 2 tests (90 minutes each)
Mathematics
Grade 3-8: 3 tests ( 60 minutes each)
Throughout the school year, students have been introduced to the content and skills presented on the IAR, testing format, and testing expectations.

Test Taking Tips
Daily Reading
