Dear Families,

Congratulations. We just finished seven weeks of quarantine. Allegheny County continues to do an excellent job in reducing the viral spread. Our cases are dropping daily, and soon we should see some of the community opening up. Approaching warm weather will also be a welcomed change.

I just wanted to remind the parents of our sixth graders who will be entering the seventh grade this fall about additional immunization requirements :

Immunization Requirements for Grades 7-12

1 dose of Tdap (tetanus,diphtheria, pertussis - given as Adacel or Boostrix) prior to 1st day of 7th grade

1 dose of Meningitis vaccine (MCV4) prior to 1st day of 7th grade, second dose prior to 1st day of 12th grade

Most of our students have already received these immunizations. If you have any questions or have difficulty getting these vaccinations for your child due to the COVID 19 closures, please feel free to contact me.
