Locker Clean Out
We will be cleaning out lockers (upstairs and PE) on Wednesday! Please make sure your child has an extra bag (or two), as many of the students have accumulated a lot of things that need to be taken home.

Dress Down Passes
Please check your child's dress down pass expiration dates! Many passes expire on May 15th. If your child tries to use an expired pass, they will be sent to the office to call home for dress code clothing. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!
Field Day Notes
Friday, May 22, is Elementary field day. Middle school stuents should wear regular Friday dress code on this day! This will be an academic day for middle school students, but we will still have early dismissal with the rest of the school. Students need to bring a packed lunch!
Middle School field day is Wednesday, May 27. Students may dress down in athletic, school-appropriate clothing on this day. (They do NOT need to wear their class colors.) Lunch will be provided. Students may bring atheletic equipement to use at the park. We will be using the church vehicles for transportation, so parent chaperones are not needed. However, you are welcome to meet us at James Day/Nike Park to enjoy this special day.

D. C. Overnight Field Trip Informational Meeting Recap
Here is a quick summary of the highlights from last night's parent meeting:
The PHCA school board has provided around $150 for each student to attend the trip.
The PTF is offering 2 fundraisers to help offset any additional cost: jeans day passes and movie night concessions. Please make sure you volunteer to help with at least 1 school event to receive this support.
We plan to have an additional Malley's fundraiser to specifically raise support for the 7/8th graders.
The cost of the trip includes lodging, all meals, transportation, and admission into all venues. Students may bring spending money for souvenirs and/or snacks.
Chaperone space is limited! Please let Miss Flick know at your earliest convenience if you would like to attend. Chaperones will asked to complete a volunteer packet from the office closer to field trip.
Chaperones have the option to select the size of their room. We will determine chaperone rooming (if sharing) closer to the date we leave.
Student may have their phones during the day to take photos and/or contact parents. Phones will be collected by PHCA staff overnight in the hotel rooms. Students will receive their devices back at breakfast each day. Students are welcome to use the hotel phone or gain assistance from the security guard on duty, if needed.
Students will have a dress code on the trip: Wednesday- PHCA spirit shirt or blue shirt, Thursday- DC shirt (covered in the trip's cost), Friday- class shirt or class color.
Any student NOT attending the trip will attend school as normally and will have a parallel assignment to complete to offset the learning experiences they will gain from the trip.
Please see the attachments for a digital copy of the itinerary and pricing information.
