[Logging onto the chromebook]

  1. Type in your child's student ID number

  2. Click Next

  3. Type in your child's birthday for their password

  4. Click Next

[Logging onto Blackboard]

  1. Type in your child's STN number (nine digits) for their username AND password.

  2. It will take them to their Course List - Choose your child's teacher's name

  3. Locate "Blackboard Collaborate" and under in blue it says "Join Session" - Click that and then click Course Room

  4. You should enter the live session room!

[UPDATING CHROME]

  1. Open the Chrome Browser.

  2. in the upper right hand corner there are 3 dots just under the X to close the browser. Click those.

  3. Towards the bottom click Setting.

  4. On left side at the bottom says About Chrome. Click that.

  5. In the middle of the screen just under the Google Logo it will give a blue hyperlink that says Chrome OS Settings. If you see that, click it!

  6. If you need to update, a blue box/button might appear that says Check for Updates.

  7. If you need an update, it will say Update. Click that button.

  8. Once it's updated, you will need to RESTART your computer to have the browser work.
