The Dentist will be here November 6th, 2024. Sign your child up to be seen!
LICE Checks
Please be checking your child's head routinely. If you find nits (these are white or black specks on the hair follicle, near the scalp), treat the heat with lice treatment and make sure to also was clothing and bedding.
Dandruff is different from lice. If you try to move and white specs on the hair and it moves, it's dandruff. If the specs to not move, then it is nits.
We know it is hard to decide when your child is to stay home. Here is a simple guideline to help.
Please call Ms Bentley (Elementary & Middle School, 260-351-2039) or Ms Sichling (High School, 260-351-2154) to tell them your child will be absent and why.
Please make sure your information is up-to-date in PowerSchool. This is what is used to try to reach you in the event that your child is ill. Please update phone numbers, addresses, and other contacts information as needed.
How to help your child's health and have a productive day:
Get a good night's rest (school-age children need 8-10 hours a night). Turn electronics off at least an hour before bed.
Have breakfast- cereal, eggs, toast, bagel, etc. Having breakfast helps keep blood sugar levels steady and helps improve focus and attention.
Be active. Have your student get at least 30 minutes of activity daily.
Notes for Individual Schools:
Elementary- Please send in an extra set of clothes (primarily pants and shirt) during wet/cold days, kids fall in the water/mud or spill something on themselves and we do not always have clothes their size.
Middle & High - Reminder that water is important for overall health. You may have a CLEAR water bottle during the school day. Drinking water can help with headaches, vision issues, and dizziness.
